Bio

Cally Hunt is a Biomass Process Engineer for the Materials and Bioeconomy Research Group. She studies biomass pretreatment and conversion techniques and densification methods. Cally’s work includes benchtop experiments and analysis to pilot plant scale production. With the ability to further verify lab findings at the pilot plant scale, Cally and her team provide a direct correlation between research and industry.

Cally has two years of experience in the pulp and paper industry. This experience provides excellent background knowledge on wood and cellulose fiber – both the molecular makeup and how they react to different conditions.
