Stephanie Eytcheson Ph.D.

Profile Stephanie Eytcheson
Professional Title
Postdoctoral Researcher

About

Dr. Eytcheson is an environmental toxicologist interested in understanding underlying mechanisms of toxicity following exposure to aquatic contaminants and subsequent impacts at the organism and population levels. Her current research examines contaminant fate and transport in aquatic systems.

Prior to joining NRRI, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the US EPA investigating whether chemical activity in in vitro assays was predictive of toxicity in vivo. Other previous research projects included investigating antibiotic resistance and pathogenic bacteria within the biofilm on microplastics and impacts to the molting and reproduction cycle of the water flea D. magna following exposure to aquatic pollutants.
