Sergiy Yemets is a research associate for the Chemical Extractives Program. He has a Masters degree in Chemistry and Chemistry of Natural Compounds and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. Sergiy has over 15 years of experience in organic chemistry research and organic technology, which includes the following directions in chemistry: Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, Chemistry of Sulfur and Fluorine Containing Organic Compounds, Chemistry of Natural Compounds and Synthesis of Biologically Active Compounds. He has authored and co-authored eight papers published in national and international chemistry journals and he has one international patent.
