Dr. Yemets is an Associate Research Scientist at the Materials and Bioeconomy Group. His background in Organic Chemistry includes Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, Chemistry of Sulfur and Fluorine Containing Organic Compounds, Chemistry of Natural Compounds, and Synthesis of Biologically Active Compounds. Dr. Yemets’ current research is focused on the Green Chemistry approaches to design, develop, and implement chemical products, processes, and nature-derived materials that reduce or eliminate hazardous substances.
