Paul Riedel joined the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Natural Resources Research Institute in June of 2026 as the Business Development Manager. In this position, Paul works to connect research partners, government agencies and Industry with NRRI’s capabilities and expertise. Paul will be supporting NRRI’s mission to deliver integrated research solutions by building strategic partnerships, helping identify new opportunities for collaboration, and advance technologies that strengthen Minnesota’s natural resource and industrial sectors.
Prior to joining NRRI, Paul spent more than a decade in research and product development, most recently with AMSOIL, where he worked closely with customers, sales, marketing, operations, and technical teams to develop products and deliver business growth. Paul earned both his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and his M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wyoming.
