About
Kim Anderson is a Senior Research Scientist at NRRI working with the Mineral Processing and Metallurgy team. Prior to joining NRRI, she spent over 17 years in industry as a process engineer and later laboratory manager and ISO 9001 management representative at Cleveland Cliffs. Her prior work focused on iron ore pellet quality, pyrometallurgical research, and laboratory testing.
Kim received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2008, focusing on agglomeration in copper biohydrometallurgical processes. In 2010, she was awarded the Rossiter W. Raymond Award from the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers (AIME) for Significant Authorship in one of their 14 sponsored journals.
