Kevin W. Kangas, Site Director of the NRRI Coleraine facility, has 26 years of industry and professional consulting experience mainly in the forest products and iron ore and steel industries. 

Kevin’s career path includes 15 years with Potlatch Corporation / Sappi Fine Paper, 2 years with Wenck & Associates, 7 years with Essar, and 1 year with Krech Ojard & Associates. Kevin is an adjunct instructor at Fond du Lac Community College where he teaches business management and business plan development.

Education

Kevin is a 1987 graduate of Greenway High School and attended Itasca Community College before transferring to the University of Minnesota – Duluth where he obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1991. In 2016, Kevin obtained Master’s Degrees in Management and Business Administration and a Master’s Project Management Certificate from the College of St. Scholastica.
