About
Katarina is an environmental microbiologist working within the Water Research Group at NRRI. Her areas of focus include environmental DNA (eDNA), microbial communities, and invasive species within freshwater ecosystems, especially in the Laurentian Great Lakes region. Her research aims to deepen our understanding of these ecosystems while supporting conservation, mitigation, and remediation efforts.
