About
Abby works as an aquatic scientist in the Water Research Group. Her current research continues the investigation of ballast-borne, protist risk-release relationships in addition to testing ballast water treatment systems as a protist analyst with the Great Waters Research Collaborative. Prior to her appointment with NRRI as a graduate research assistant, she worked as an analytical chemistry lab technician to support aquatic contaminants research. Her interests include aquatic invasive species, algal taxonomy, mesocosm studies, and ballast water treatment testing.
